South Georgia Rustic Chic Wedding

Weddings are seriously the greatest events ever. Their purpose is for a group of people to come together to celebrate L O V E. It just makes me so happy! That is why I love being able to help brides and grooms with the details of their wedding day.

My husband and I had the pleasure of attending the wedding of Lizz Harrington + Ryan Bass this past weekend in Thomasville, GA. {P.S. they had the cutest hashtag ever: #lastcastforbass} Lizz and I met at Leigha’s {my red-headed soul sister who also happens to be a fabulous wedding planner} bachelorette party in 2016. Lizz is such an energetic, bubbly, and caring friend - I’m so happy we were able to celebrate such an important day in her life! I’m also honored that she reached out to me to create a hand-lettered piece for her wedding day. She wanted a board that let guests know that the ceremony was to be an “unplugged” one so their guests could share the moment with them, not behind a screen! The rustic wooden board really matched the theme and ambiance of the wedding, especially since it was hosted at Pebble Hill, a historic plantation in South Georgia.

It may have rained all day long, but the sun came out just in time for a lovely ceremony full of laughs and cheers for the Mr. + Mrs. Bass. They do say that rain on your wedding day is good luck, it actually stormed all day long on our wedding day, too! Some highlights included Lizz’s grandmother as the flower girl, their golden pup as a ring bearer, and an officiant with some real jokes!

Our favorite part of the entire weekend was being able to travel back up to our ole stomping grounds to see family and great friends that we miss so dearly. I just had to share a quick recap of such a gorgeous wedding and fun weekend! Cheers to Lizz + Ryan and to many more weddings with a Copper Creative touch!

xoxo,

Christie
