I had the pleasure of meeting Kathleen & David on a whim at a local Tampa 'Wedding Flea Market'. It's a great concept, vendors and past brides have a place to sell their unwanted decor and it's the perfect way for future brides and grooms to save an extra buck! I happened to be there offering up some hand-lettered items and looking for the opportunity to be out in the community. Lucky for me, I met Kathleen & David. They gave me a chance as they had ordered their save the dates online and weren't considering a custom option at all... I'm SO GRATEFUL I was able to pique their interest and they ultimately chose me to create their custom wedding invitation suite and day-of stationery.
Kathleen & David wanted a simple, traditional and elegant invitation suite with not a lot of frills. Their color scheme, which is a crowd favorite, was burgundy, navy, and gold. Such a timeless color palette!
I had so much fun creating additional pieces for their day-of needs including a menu, various signage, and a welcome sign {see above}! I LOVE the gold frame Kathleen found to frame the welcome sign, it totally completed the look.
The Orlo was {clearly} the perfect backdrop and venue for Kathleen & David. I love the southern charm mixed with the traditional Florida landscape. 🌴Also, would you look at that SQUAD - talk about goals!
I think the best part of working with Kathleen & David on their wedding day items is the fact that I made a new set of friends out of it! They are an incredible couple with a precious pup named Lucy and I know their future together is nothing but bright. Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Gewandter 💕
